Volunteers are Needed to work with PLCR

Padang Lutheran Christian Relief depends heavily on volunteers for its day-to-day operations and we are calling for volunteers to join the Padang Lutheran Christian Relief.

We are currently looking for fundraisers to work with us on a voluntary basis. The role depends on your own experience and interests, although we need help in the following areas:

• To assist with securing and maintaining funding from donors
• To research and prepare project proposals for funding applications to various foundations, governments and development organizations
• To develop corporate relationships to secure funding that will help to support the work of the PLCR in Southern Sudan
• To assist with organizing events to raise funds and awareness of PLCR
• To attend networking events and make presentations
• To organize events by offering Canadians practical ways to become involved
• To increase our memberships and support to the Padang Lutheran Christian Relief
• To increase our fundraising portfolio and help identify the new initiatives
• To work with local and national media to raise PLCR's profile

Volunteer Opportunities Overseas

In addition, Padang Lutheran Christian Relief has volunteer programs overseas in Southern Sudan. Volunteers are needed in the following areas: Medical personnel, teachers, missionaries with various skills, construction engineers and much more!

If you are interested in volunteering with PLCR on short term missions in Sudan, please let us know your particular skill and we will inform you about our upcoming Mission trip to Sudan as it is arranged.

Please note that PLCR is absolutely volunteer run organization and we do not provide paid positions. Padang Lutheran Christian Relief receives no government funding of any kind. Every penny raised to support our work comes from caring individuals, churches, corporations, foundations and partner organizations that are basically longing to assist the impoverished communities in Sudan.
